Many Premier League football fans will no doubt be following Brighton’s transfer activity with keen interest over the summer after the Seagulls finally gained promotion to the top flight after threatening for the past few seasons.
They have been one of the most attractive teams to watch in the Championship under ex-Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton, who has turned them into an outfit who are pleasing on the eye.

While Brighton do have cash to spend, it is vital that the club get it right in order to ensure their survival, though perhaps heavy spending on every recruit isn’t needed.
One player who offers Premier League experience, would fit into the Seagulls style of play and even more crucially is available on a free transfer, is Sebastian Larsson whose Sunderland contract expires on 30th June.

The Newcastle Chronicle reports that the player is keen to stay in English football, despite interest from abroad and Brighton would be a great match.
Blessed with creativity and an eye for a pass, he could fit seamlessly into Hughton’s side and more importantly he has Premier League experience. Also a specialist from set-piece situations he could add vital goals to Brighton’s repertoire.

Speaking recently to the Chronicle Online, Larsson said: “Everyone knows my contract is up and I will decide my future during the summer.
“I have enjoyed every season here which might seem strange, but I have. I am sure there will be discussions during the summer.
The opportunity to stay in the English top flight though, might be too good to turn down and with Brighton needing Premier League experience, he might just be one potential answer.
