Birghton & Hove Albion face Sheffield Wednesday this Friday, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Brighton 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday

The Seagulls are flying high but this is a chance for fellow promotion hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday to peg them back. A home win sounds too easy, and expect the Owls to come away with an impressive draw.

Brighton 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Preston snapped The Seagulls five game winning run last time out but Chris Hughton has constructed a stable, strong-willed squad capable of overcoming adversity. And they should respond with typical solidity against Sheffield Wednesday, despite the Owls outclassing Huddersfield last weekend.

Alfie Potts-Harmer

Brighton 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Brighton have the best home record in the Championship, whilst Wednesday’s away from is mixed. The Seagulls will want to put the disappointment of Preston behind them quick, and they should sneak a win even against a Wednesday side unbeaten in 6 league games.

Brighton 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday

This is going to be a tight game but the Seagulls should come out on top with home advantage. They will be desperate not to give the play-off contenders – Wednesday included – any sniff of automatic promotion.

Che Thomas

Brighton 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday

I think Brighton might just edge this, they were on a superb run before the shock defeat to Preston and are especially strong at home. If Wednesday were to get a result they would be showing that they really mean business but I fancy the Seagulls.

Wednesday are unbeaten in six in the league, conceding just once in that time, and haven’t lost in four attempts at the Amex. That said, it’s rare that Brighton lose back-to-back matches and with the Owls far from free-scoring, this could well be another bore draw – convenient in front of the Sky cameras!
