Brighton & Hove Albion face Cardiff City on Tuesday night, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Brighton 2-0 Cardiff City

Brighton made hard work of their win over Sheffield Wednesday on Friday but this match should provide them with more of a routine victory. Cardiff have improved under Neil Warnock but winning at the Amex will be too tough a challenge.

Brighton 2-0 Cardiff

The Seagulls demonstrated the will and character of champions against Sheffield Wednesday last time out and, despite Glen Murray’s suspension, should have too much in attack for Neil Warnock’s Cardiff. Anthony Knockaert was in inspired form against The Owls and should maintain his goalscoring run.

Brighton 2-0 Cardiff

Brighton are bullish at home, and having come through a real battle against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night with all three points, provided their heads are in the right place, they should have too much for Cardiff.

Vincent Ralph

Brighton 2-0 Cardiff City

Brighton’s superb win against Sheffield Wednesday gives them renewed confidence for the challenges ahead and they should overcome Cardiff with relative ease.

Che Thomas

Brighton 3 – 1 Cardiff City

Watching Newcastle and Brighton trade blows at the top of the Championship table shows how far they are ahead of the rest of the league. Cardiff have pushed on recently but Brighton will get another good result at the Amex.

Brighton looked every bit a title contender in Friday’s win against Wednesday, and will return to the top (again) by winning their game in hand. Cardiff are slowly creeping up the table but manager Neil Warnock will know that any point from this one is a bonus.
