Brighton CEO Paul Barber has shared that he learns something ‘every day’ from Tottenham’s Daniel Levy, as he told Qué Golazo.
The boyhood Tottenham fan, who worked with Levy at White Hart Lane, shared that he is ‘fantastic’ in what he does in North London.
There is a big contrast as to where Brighton and Spurs currently are, especially on how the clubs are being run.
Those supporting the Seagulls are in cloud nine, whilst there is serious heat being aimed towards those at Hotspur Way and it doesn’t help when they get beat by their rivals.
But this is what Barber had to say about the marmite-like figure in Tottenham’s boardroom.
On learning from Levy: “Oh, every day,” said Barber. “Daniel is a fantastic businessman and a terrific operator of a top-level club.
“I enjoyed the time I spent at Tottenham Hotspur. I grew up a Tottenham fan. I grew up in the area of the club, so, for me, it was an easy process to settle in.
“I had been working previously with the national team, for me, Tottenham was the first experience of day-to-day club football. And it stood me in good stead when I moved to North America to work in the MLS then later back here to Brighton.
“I will always be grateful to Daniel for the support he provided to me and also the guidance along the way.”
Tottenham fans have been pretty vocal as to where they are heading and how they have fallen during these past few years.
From reaching the Champions League final to now preparing to play Slovenian Side Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
