Brighton are one of several clubs seeking to secure the services of Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

According to CBS, Inter Milan are ready to make their opening move in their pursuit of Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun, who is very much in-demand this summer. There is plenty of Premier League interest in the forward too, with Brighton, Crystal Palace, and West Ham United all credited as admirers.

With the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah currently ahead of him in the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners would be wise to cash in on Balogun now whilst his stock is so high. Brighton should also take this chance to add one of Europe’s most in-form young hitmen to their ranks.

18-year-old Evan Ferguson is already impressing at the Amex Stadium, and the addition of Balogun would put Roberto De Zerbi in charge of one of the most exciting strike forces in the Premier League.

Brighton can make a statement with Balogun

It will take a big push to bring Balogun to the club. Inter Milan would be an attractive destination for the American, and Arsenal are thought to want £50 million for the 22-year-old. Brighton will bring in big money for Moises Caicedo though, and if Balogun can replicate his Ligue 1 form in England then he’ll look like a bargain.

The twice-capped USA international spent last season on loan with French outfit Reims, and banged in 22 goals for the club. Reims boss Will Still hailed Balogun as being “super complete” during his stint with the club, as quoted by Sky Sports.

Coming off the back of a fantastic season, this is the summer for Brighton to make a statement, and signing Balogun would certainly be a big one for the Seagulls.
