Brighton and Hove Albion have a new fan favourite in 19-year-old Aaron Connolly.

Graham Potter’s side crushed Spurs 3-0 thanks to a goal from Neal Maupay and a brace from exciting young attacker Aaron Connolly. The Seagulls were deserved winners and Connolly was rightly named as the man of the match thanks to his match-winning performance.
Big centre-back Adam Webster, who has started each of Brighton’s last five league games, was asked about the youngster’s performance and the 24-year-old claimed that Connolly is just as difficult to defend against during training as he was against Spurs at the weekend.
He said: “In training he’s like what he is out there, a terror. He is small and so quick. The touches he takes on the ball, you can’t tackle him. There are a lot of little touches so it is hard to defend against.
“I am absolutely delighted for him. Both him and Neal (Maupay) were magnificent up top.”

Connolly was extremely unlucky to not open his account against Newcastle United a couple of weeks ago when a spectacular goal-line clearance denied him a brilliant debut goal. However, the youngster kept his head down and won his side the game against Tottenham.
With Neal Maupay also firing since arriving at the club in the summer, Potter has two very good attackers at his disposal and with Leandro Trossard expected to be back after the international break, Brighton fans can be optimistic of seeing a ton of goals scored by their forwards this season.
