Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion host Premier League opponents Brighton and Hove Albion in their FA Cup fourth round replay at The Hawthorns.

Manager Chris Hughton of Norwich smiles before the Premier League match between Wigan Athletic and Norwich City at the DW Stadium on March 30, 2013 in Wigan, England.

Chris Hughton has paid tribute to the quality in West Brom’s squad ahead of Brighton and Hove Albion’s FA Cup fourth round replay at The Hawthorns on Wednesday night, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.

The Baggies are fifth in the Championship table as they prepare to host top flight Brighton at The Hawthorns but have a number of players who have proven themselves in the Premier League during recent seasons such as Jay Rodriguez, Ahmed Hegazi and Chris Brunt.

They added further quality to an already impressive squad on transfer deadline day, snapping up Jefferson Montero, Stefan Johanson and Jacob Murphy from Swansea, Fulham and Newcastle United respectively.

And, speaking ahead of the game, Hughton has admitted that West Brom could cause plenty of problems for his Seagulls side.

“It’s a big challenge for us. We’re up against a team that are in a very good position in the Championship,” said the former Newcastle and Norwich City boss.

“What they will be doing is giving everything they can to get straight back to the Premier League.

“They’ve brought in some good players in this window, so they’ve got a very good squad and a team that has recently been in the Premier League.”

Brighton and West Brom played out a disappointing goalless draw in their first meeting in late January, the South Coast side failing to open up their second tier opponents despite launching 24 shots on goal throughout 90 minutes at The Amex.

But don’t rule out a surprise tomorrow night.
