Brighton and Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma is on Arsenal’s radar and has produced another match-winning moment for the Seagulls.

Roberto De Zerbi’s men claimed another win on Saturday afternoon but they left it very, very late.

Bournemouth looked like they were going to see out a 0-0 draw and take home a point until Mitoma popped up.

The Japanese winger rose highest to head home a late winner for Brighton, continuing his blistering form of late.

Mitoma has now racked up five goals and one assist in his last seven games, including three in his last three.

This is just another example of Brighton’s recruitment being one step ahead, with Mitoma no doubt set to attract major interest ahead of the summer window.

Arsenal target Kaoru Mitoma hailed

One club who seem to have an eye on Mitoma is Arsenal.

90Min reported in January that Arsenal have put Mitoma on their radar for a possible move to North London.

Arsenal ended up signing a different winger from Brighton as Leandro Trossard made the move to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are bound to be keeping tabs on a player of Mitoma’s quality though and the sky appears to be the limit for him.

MItoma, 25, joined Brighton from Kawasaki Frontale in 2021 but spent last season on loan at sister club Union Saint-Gilloise.

Now thriving in the Premier League, the Japan international is dancing past defenders for fun and conjuring up key moments of magic.

Mitoma left one pundit stunned on Saturday with Kris Boyd stating on Sky Sports that Mitoma’s feet are ‘unbelievable’.

One moment of play left Boyd awestruck as Mitoma skilfully beat Bournemouth defenders on his way to creating a chance for the Seagulls.

Defenders must dread coming up against Mitoma at this point with his dribbling ability simply incredible to watch.

That kind of ability doesn’t go unnoticed and Arsenal would be wise to watch him constantly ahead of potentially luring him to the capital.
