The Milwaukee Bucks fans could suffer their biggest heartbreak of the modern era.

With the Milwaukee Bucks currently struggling to win games, it’s hard not to be frustrated as a fan of the franchise.

However, not winning games is only a part of a potentially bigger problem for the Bucks – Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future.

After all, the NBA rumor mill is buzzing with the 2021 NBA champion potentially asking for a move away from the Bucks sooner rather than later.

Brian Windhorst says Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future will be clear on December 15, 2025

With trade rumors surrounding Antetokounmpo emerging everywhere, the Bucks received more bad news as their face of the franchise has suffered a calf strain injury.

Antetokounmpo is expected to miss two to four weeks due to the injury. Speaking of which, his return falls in line with NBA analyst Brian Windhorst’s theory about the 2x NBA MVP’s Bucks’ future.

“I think that everybody here wants some clarity within the next couple of weeks and whether Giannis is going to be committed to the Bucks for the season or he would like to be traded,” Windhorst said.

He added: “And the key date to circle is December 15th. That is when all the players, for the most part, who were signed last summer can be traded.”

If Windy is correct, then it’s only a matter of weeks before the Greek Freak either signs a major extension with the Bucks or starts a new chapter in his career.

Brian Windhorst claims December 15 is the ‘unofficial’ start of the NBA trade season

More than a month has passed since the regular season kicked off. By this time, most teams have played around 20 games, and some early favorites are starting to form in the league.

However, Windhorst claimed that the season hasn’t officially started yet, as he believes that December 15 is the unofficial start date.

“Every year, December 15th is the unofficial start of NBA trade season, so between now and then, pending this injury situation, I think the Bucks and Giannis would hope to have clarity on whether he’s remaining invested or not,” Windhorst stated.

Right now, the Bucks also need to worry about winning games with their best player on the sidelines, as they are currently the 10th seed in the East.
