Celtic beat Rangers 2-1 on Saturday afternoon, with Stuart Armstrong impressing.
Former Celtic midfielder Brian O’Neil has taken to Twitter to react to Stuart Armstrong’s performance for the Bhoys against Rangers.
The Bhoys went into Saturday’s Old Firm derby having won 14 league games in a row, and having beaten Rangers 5-1 at Celtic Park earlier this season, fans were hoping for another win over their fierce rivals.

However, it was Rangers who took the lead, with Kenny Miller – formerly of Celtic – sliding in to score from close range from James Tavernier’s cross.
Celtic did eventually get going again though, and hit back before half time as Moussa Dembele smashed home at the back post after Rangers failed to deal with a corner.
The Bhoys took over the game from that point on, and grabbed what proved to be the winning goal when Scott Sinclair tapped in at the far post having been picked out by Stuart Armstrong’s cross.

Celtic managed to hang on for the win even though Miller did hit the post, and Brendan Rodgers’ men now lie 19 points clear at the top of the table, and have won 15 games in a row.
One of the keys to Celtic’s successful season so far is that Rodgers has completely revitalised midfielder Stuart Armstrong, who is closing in on two years at Celtic Park having joined from Dundee United in February 2015.
The 24-year-old playmaker struggled to nail down a regular place in Ronny Deila’s team, but is now the symbol of Celtic’s improvement under Rodgers, as he’s now a key member of the Bhoys team.
With eight goals to his name this season, Armstrong has thrived with Rodgers at the helm, and he put in another excellent performance against Rangers, ultimately leading to him grabbing the assist for the winner.
After the game, former Bhoys midfielder Brian O’Neil took to Twitter to hail Armstrong, naming him as Celtic’s man of the match against Rangers, even suggesting that he must have iron lungs having got through so much running at Ibrox.
