Rangers have tied up another youngster’s contract at Ibrox.

Rangers goalkeeper Brian Kinnear has confirmed on Twitter that he has put pen to paper on a new deal at Ibrox, adding to a long list of young stars to be tied down by the Scottish giants in recent months.
Born in January 2001, Kinnear is just 17 years of age but his efforts this season have been recognised by the Gers board who have decided to extend his stay in Glasgow.
The Gers’ youth academy account posted on Twitter after Kinnear signed a new one-year deal, alongside left-back Myles Beerman.
Kinnear becomes the latest of a string of young stars to sign a new deal, with the likes of Ciaran Dickson, Kieran Wright, Ross and Robby McCrorie, Aidan Wilson and Jamie Barjonas all signing new terms.
Kinnear posted on Twitter after agreeing a deal with his boyhood club, declaring himself as “buzzing” to extend his stay at Ibrox amid the imminent arrival of Steven Gerrard as manager on June 1.
The Scottish stopper now faces a tough fight ahead to break into the Gers’ Under-23 and indeed first-team set-up, with Wes Foderingham, Jak Alwnick and Liam Kelly considered the club’s top three stoppers.
Behind them remain Wright, McCrorie, Aidan McAdams and Lewis Muir in the goalkeeper pecking order, but Kinnear’s new deal will certainly give him hope of pushing those above him.
