Brian Deane has praised Leeds United youngster Jack Clarke on Twitter for his performance against Aston Villa at the weekend.

Clarke, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, featured for Leeds in their 3-2 comeback win against Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.

The 18-year-old scored a superb goal in the 56th minute to kickstart the West Yorkshire outfit’s comeback victory.

According to WhoScored, against Villa, Clarke had two shots, had a pass accuracy of 75%, won one header, and made one interception.

Former Leeds striker Deane was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Clarke, who came on as a substitute at the start of the second half.

Leeds legend Ian Harte has also praised Clarke on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo Vieira, who left Leeds for Sampdoria in the summer transfer window, was impressed with the goal scored by the youngster against Villa.

Clarke is playing well for Leeds at the moment, and his appearances off the bench so far this season have been very productive.

Perhaps in the coming weeks, the attacker will be included in the Leeds starting lineup.
