Rhian Brewster reflects on another chance to shine at Liverpool; fans react

Young Liverpool attacker Rhian Brewster was given 45 minutes to impress against Sevilla at Fenway Park in Boston.

Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster has taken to Twitter to reflect on his pre-season appearance against Sevilla on Monday night, also offering support to injured teammate Yasser Larouci.

The Reds suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the La Liga side, but it was a night less about the result and more about building fitness and match sharpness ahead of the new season.

Brewster has been in excellent form over the last couple of weeks, scoring in matches against Tranmere Rovers, Bradford City and Borussia Dortmund.

He couldn’t quite find the net against Sevilla, but was satisfied with getting another half of football under his belt.

Still just 19, Brewster has yet to make his senior competitive debut for Jurgen Klopp’s side, but hopes will be high he can feature in some way next season, if not sent out on loan.

The youngster signed a five year deal with the club last summer in the midst of rehab from a horror injury in an U23s match.

Involved on Klopp’s bench towards the end of last term, can he now make a push for first-team action?
