A number of clubs are chasing a deal for Brentford striker Aaron Pressley.

According to The Courier, Dundee United, St Mirren and Livingston are all in the hunt for the signature of Brentford forward Aaron Pressley.

Pressley has been with the Bees since 2020 and got a couple of Championship run outs. Since Thomas Frank led the club to the Premier League though, the 21-year-old’s only opportunities have come on loan. He has enjoyed temporary spells with Wimbledon and Accrington Stanley in League One.

Pressley is a Scot, and is the son of former Scotland international and Hearts defender Steven Pressley. As such, there is plenty of interest in him from Scottish clubs. However, the Edinburgh-born youngster would prefer to remain playing his football in England if the opportunity presents itself. Pressley should have plenty of options open to him this summer as Brentford aren’t seeking a fee in exchange for his services. They will instead demand a sell-on clause.

Who is Aaron Pressley?

At 6’4”, Pressley is a towering presence up front. The target man has impressed at League One level, racking up 9 goals across two spells in the division. He has also demonstrated the quality of his hold up play.

He certainly now needs regular football in order to maintain his progress. Given he seems unlikely to ever make the grade at Brentford, it makes sense for him to depart on a permanent basis. He would represent a smart signing for plenty of clubs in the Football League pyramid.
