Leeds United have handed a trial to Brentford youngster Luke Dunn in a bid to win the race to sign the talented winger.

He played in the recent 2-2 draw against Sheffield Wednesday for the club’s under-23s – along with fellow trialists Mory Diaw and Julio Lopez.

The skilful wide man has not yet signed a professional deal at the club, despite being highly-rated by the staff at Griffin Park.

HITC Sport has reported on interest from elsewhere in his services recently. West Bromwich Albion have shown an interest in signing the teenager this year whilst Wolverhampton Wanderers are also keeping a close eye on his development.

Birmingham City make it a clean sweep of Midlands club’s who have been keeping an eye on the teenager.

However, Leeds have clearly jumped ahead of those teams in the pecking order for his services and it will be interesting to see if Dunn can earn himself a professional contract in West Yorkshire.

Leeds have a fine record of bringing young players through to the first-team and Dunn would surely be hoping to follow in the footsteps of players like Lewis Cook, Ronaldo Vieira and Charlie Taylor if he did decide to make the move to Thorp Arch to continue his development.
