Aston Villa boss Dean Smith completed the signing of Brentford’s Ezri Konsa this morning.

Ezri Konsa of Brentford is closed down during the Sky Bet Championship match between Brentford and Aston Villa at Griffin Park on February 13, 2019 in Brentford, England.

Brentford fans do not appear to be too concerned about losing Ezri Konsa to Aston Villa.

Villa announced that they have signed Konsa from Brentford this morning, after a swift negotiation.

Smith actually signed Konsa for Brentford in 2018, and he has now been reunited with the England youth international at Villa Park.

The Mail suggest that Brentford received £12 million for the young centre-back, with Villa clearly very keen on signing him.

Brentford fans are now claiming that they don’t mind seeing Konsa leaving for Villa, as they feel that the profit could be good for them.

Konsa is still developing, and Brentford supporters think that raising such money for potential isn’t the end of the world, even though they have lost a good player.

Konsa is likely start alongside Tyrone Mings in the heart of Smith’s side’s defence next season, although James Chester will want to put his place under pressure.

Ezri Konsa of Brentford turns to celebrate scoring during the Sky Bet Championship match between Brentford and Preston North End at Griffin Park on May 05, 2019 in Brentford, England.
