Leeds United have sold Pontus Jansson to Brentford.

Leeds United have sold centre-back Pontus Jansson to Brentford.
Brentford confirmed the deal on the club’s official website last night.
It was a quick decision from Leeds to sell the centre-back after manager Marcelo Bielsa made the call.
Brentford co-director Phil Giles admitted signing Jansson was not in the club’s plans.
The Bees were shocked to learn he was up for sale, with Leeds deciding to part ways with the defender.
Giles said he and the club reacted quickly to try and win the race for the centre-back.
He told Brentford’s website: “Pontus is not a player we have been tracking for some time. In fact, it was only very recently that we were alerted to his availability and reacted quickly to the opportunity. I
“It says a lot about Pontus that he chose to sign for Brentford as much as we chose to sign him. There is a mutual feeling that we can be successful together, and we wish him well during his time with us.”

Brentford and Leeds face each other early on in the season.
A quick return to Elland Road beckons when Leeds host Brentford on August 21.
