Brentford’s Jota is reportedly wanted by Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham United.
Brentford’s Jota celebrates
Brentford chief executive Mark Devlin has told Sky Sports that he expects Jota to stay at Griffin Park despite interest from Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham United.
The Bees swooped to land Jota from Celta Vigo back in the summer of 2014, and with 11 goals in his first Championship campaign, the Spaniard impressed in West London.

However, in January 2016, the winger returned to Spain in an 18-month loan deal with Eibar, which was cut short earlier this year.
Speculation surrounded Jota’s future upon his return to Griffin Park, but he stayed with Brentford – and he enjoyed a quite remarkable second half of the season.
With 12 goals and five assists in just 21 Championship games, Jota reminded Brentford fans just how good he really is, and his displays have allegedly attracted Premier League interest.

Sky Sports report that Premier League trio Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham United are all keen on signing Jota, who is allegedly valued at around £8million.
Brentford chief executive Mark Devlin has now offered his reaction to the rumours, claiming that Jota – who has been compared favourably to compatriot and Manchester City star David Silva – will be playing for the Bees next term.

Devlin admitted that he can understand why there are rumours surrounding Jota having turned in ‘fantastic’ displays at the back end of last season, but Brentford don’t expect to sell this summer.
“As far as we are concerned, Jota will be playing his football at Griffin Park next season,” said Devlin. “There will be lots of conjecture about players from all clubs, particularly those that performed well last year. Jota came back into the side in January and was fantastic for the final few months of the season.”
“It’s no surprise he’s been catching the eye but Jota and the rest of the squad will be back in pre-season in July,” he added.
