West Ham United have been strongly linked with a move for Brentford striker Scott Hogan this month, as they look to improve their attacking options.
Over the weekend it was reported that the Hammers are apparently hopeful that the Bees will be hopeful that Brentford are willing to drop their overall asking price to £13 million, rather than the £15 million originally quoted – according to Sky Sports.

His parent club have certainly drove a hard bargain in the transfer market, but if he does go there will be no hard feelings from his current manager.

Dean Smith has been speaking to the London Evening Standard about the apparent departure of Hogan and admitted he would shake his hand if he did decide he wanted a move to the Premier League:
“When you are talking about the numbers in the Premier League in terms of wages I think it is going to turn any young man’s head.
“But he has been good, he’s trained every day, he’s been OK around the training ground.

“If he did go, I would shake his hand because I can understand him harbouring ambitions to go and play in the Premier League with the sort of money that is on offer. I would wish him well.”
Hogan has been linked with several clubs this month after a brilliant season so far at Griffin Park.
Watford were also credited with an interest but it appears West Ham are now in the driving seat to complete his signature.
Hogan has been in fine form this season for Brentford, scoring 14 goals in 27 appearances.
