His comments came after Tom Aspinall suffered an eye poke from Ciryl Gane at UFC 321, a fight that ended in a no-contest.
White didn’t appear to show much support for the heavyweight champion after the incident, which took place in Abu Dhabi.
Aspinall was poked in both eyes by Ciryl Gane during his first attempt to defend his undisputed title.
The repeated fouls left him dealing with serious injuries, affecting both his career and day-to-day life.
Even after undergoing surgery on both eyes, some within the MMA community have accused Aspinall of exaggerating or faking his injuries.
Brendan Schaub believes Dana White may have contributed to those accusations.
Brendan Schaub says Dana White played a part in Tom Aspinall criticism

In his post-fight press conference, White was brief in his comments on the main event no-contest, stating that Aspinall “didn’t want to continue.”
Some interpreted that as a suggestion that the British fighter chose not to continue, a view shared by certain fans and fighters like TJ Dillashaw.
Schaub, though, doesn’t share that opinion. He’s certain about the seriousness of Aspinall’s situation and fully supports the champion.
He recently posted a video on X criticising those doubting Aspinall’s injury and suggested White played a part in fueling those opinions.
Schaub said: “You know how dumb you have to be?
“Talking about the guy who grew up in a jiu-jitsu dojo, who’s dedicated his entire life, who is the baddest man walking the planet. He would be faking all this for what? Because it’s Ciryl Gane? No one’s scared of Ciryl Gane. It’s a great matchup for Tom.
“What makes Dana great is he shoots from the hip,” Schaub added. “He just says what he says. Right after the fight, you could see how Dana would say that.
“But the issue with that is now that gives energy…so the rest of the UFC trolls jump on that and that just ignites fire on top.”
Tom Aspinall admits he’s become disillusioned with MMA
Given the reactions from White and parts of the fanbase to his injury, it’s not surprising that Aspinall now sees things differently.
Speaking to Petesy Carroll of Uncrowned in a video covering his double eye surgery, Aspinall didn’t hold back his frustration with how the business side of MMA operates.
“I love martial arts,” Aspinall said. “I absolutely love it. I’ll never stop loving it, but I just hate the business.
“I think that fighters are just completely replaceable and the business will make you feel like that any chance it gets.
Even if you get hit with an illegal move, which could affect the rest of your life, they don’t really give a s—. And no one else does either,” he added.
