Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told The Scottish Sun that he would love to return to the club in the future.

Earlier this week, Rodgers quite his role as the Celtic manager and took the job at Leicester City in the Premier League.

Fans of the Glasgow giants have not been happy at all by Rodgers’ decision to leave the club just a few weeks before the end of the season.

Celtic need to win the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup in order to clinch the domestic treble for the third successive season.

Leicester boss Rodgers has said that he would love to return to Celtic Park to manage the first team in the future, and his comments will certainly make the fans laugh.

Rodgers told The Scottish Sun: “Would I work in Scotland again? Of course I would. I loved every single second of being there. It was amazing.

“When it calms down, in maybe ten years, I could maybe go back to Celtic. Would I like that? Yes. Absolutely. 100 per cent.”

Return to Celtic?

Some will suggest that Rodgers has damaged his legacy at Celtic, and that fans will never forgive him for leaving the Hoops the way he did.

While no one can argue regarding the wonderful job Rodgers did at the Bhoys, his exit has left a bitter taste in the mouth of the Celtic fans.

Time is the best healer, but it is hard to see Rodgers being welcomed back at Celtic by the fans with open arms.
