Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers suggests he only wants one more signing.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told STV that he wants one more player this summer, but added that it is “very difficult” to do business at the moment.

Rodgers has brought three new faces to Celtic this summer, with Jonny Hayes, Kundai Benyu and Olivier Ntcham – who joined for £4.5 million – all arriving in Glasgow.

All three have looked very promising in the early stages of their Hoops careers and, given that Rodgers’s side won a domestic treble last season without losing a match, the Premiership champions are fancied to have enough to repeat the feat.

Nevertheless, the former Liverpool boss tells STV that he won’t sign another player for the sake of it, claiming that only one more new man will join if he does any more business.

He said: “Our idea is to maybe get one other player in before the window but of course this period now between the games is very difficult to get anyone in,” he said.

“I’m not one for stockpiling players, I won’t just bring one in for the sake of it.”
