Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is eager to bring more players to Glasgow over the coming weeks.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told the Daily Express that he still wants to make more additions in the January transfer window.
Celtic have sealed their first signing of the month, by bringing in Kouassi Eboue from Kransnador in Russia.
And Rodgers is hoping that Eboue is not the only new face to arrive at Parkhead over the coming weeks.
“We have a few targets,” Rodgers revealed. “We’d like to think we could get a few in to enhance the team. But if we don’t get anyone in January then there is no drama.”
Eboue has signed for Celtic for around £3 million (Daily Express), and he is expected to increase competition for places in midfield.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye in Russian football, and Rodgers has hinted that more African players could be on his wishlist.
“There are certain markets you can bring players in from to help Celtic and Scottish football, and Africa has always been that,” the Northern Irish boss added.
“It’s always been a market where you find players who are hungry. Kolo Toure is the perfect example.”
Rodgers reportedly sees the January transfer window as a perfect time to add to his Celtic squad.
The Bhoys are miles clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, meaning any new signings have time to settle in at Parkhead, before Celtic begin their quest to qualify for the Champions League again next term.
