Glasgow Rangers are reportedly looking to bring Nathan Dyer to Ibrox on loan this summer.

Dyer is yet to feature this season, and it appears that Swansea would be open to the idea of letting the 30-year-old seek a fresh challenge despite the fact that he played 24 times in the Premier League last year.
The Scottish Sun reports that Reading were in talks to sign the Premier League title-winner, but those discussions stalled over the terms of a potential deal – and that potentially leaves the path clear for Rangers to swoop.
Dyer may be a surprise target as far as the Ibrox faithful are concerned, but there may perhaps be one person in Glasgow who will be expecting Dyer to be a success with Rangers if he arrives, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers worked with the winger during his time as Swans boss, and in comments reported by the Daily Mail in 2011, the Northern Irishman suggested that Dyer was deserving of an England call-up.
Unfortunately for Dyer, the call for the Three Lions is yet to come. And while any potential spell in the Scottish Premiership is unlikely to see the wide-man handed an international bow at this stage of his career, Gerrard will be hoping, if a loan is agreed, that Dyer can prove why Rodgers rated him so highly several years ago.
