According to Deportes Cuatro, Liverpool see Luiz Suárez as the ideal candidate to replace Mohamed Salah if the Egyptian leaves Anfield.
The Atlético Madrid forward is also wanted by David Beckham’s Inter Miami, as he looks to add more talent alongside Blaise Matuidi and Gonzalo Higuain.
Interestingly, Atlético Madrid are happy to sell Suárez despite his stunning form this season, as Diego Simeone plans to ‘clean the dressing room’ this summer.
The 116-cap Uruguay international has scored 19 goals in 26 La Liga appearances this term, just four less than Lionel Messi, who leads the scoring charts.
One man who is – unsurprisingly – a big fan of the South American is Brendan Rodgers, who nearly guided Liverpool to the Premier League title with the help of Suárez.
Speaking back in March 2013, the Irishman waxed lyrical about the forward’s appetite for the game.

Rodgers said: “Of course he looks a little bit tired after all that flying but that doesn’t stop him. He was out there working, running and chasing. He’s an amazing character. He doesn’t get enough credit for that.”
Clearly, whatever the Leicester boss was instructing Suárez to do worked.
The 34-year-old scored an astonishing 61 goals in just 81 games under the 48-year-old, while also recording 32 assists.

That is utterly outstanding form.
He might be getting on a bit now, but with 19 La Liga goals this term, it seems Suárez might still be able to do a job for Klopp.
