Celtic claimed their 29th victory of the season in the Scottish Premiership as they beat Kilmarnock 3-1 at Parkhead.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told the club’s official website that the side’s defending of counter attacks was the one negative that can be taken from the club’s victory over Kilmarnock on Saturday.
The Hoops moved onto 90 points for the season in the Scottish Premiership with a 3-1 win over Killie at Parkhead, but the away side gave them a very brief scare.
Stuart Armstrong had handed Celtic the lead after just 22 minutes, but the crowd had to wait until after the hour-mark for the game’s second goal which came from the opposition.
However, Scott Sinclair and James Forrest put the game beyond doubt within 11 minutes of Kilmarnock’s equaliser to ensure that the champions picked up their 29th win in 32 league games.

And while he was able to take a number of positives from the game, Rodgers suggested that he was not entirely happy about the display from his players.
“Our only disappointment was defending the counter-attack and the goal we conceded, we could have been better,” he told the club’s official website.
“But in the main, we had everything I would want from a team, with our counter-pressing and playing with that lovely arrogance and charisma in the game.”

What will please Celtic fans about the slight criticism is that Rodgers is not letting his players switch off for one second despite the title being wrapped up.
The Hoops have one more game before the Scottish Cup semi-final with Rangers. And while the prospect of securing the domestic treble and beating their bitter rivals in the process should provide more than enough motivation, Rodgers will be wanting his players to take as much momentum into the game as possible to ensure that an upset does not occur.
