Kolo Toure joined Celtic in the summer of 2016.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has suggested to The Scottish Sun that he wants Kolo Toure to remain at the club next season.
Toure joined Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in the summer of 2016 after leaving Premier League outfit Liverpool at the end of the 2015-16 season.
As announced on the Bhoys’ official website at the time, the former Ivory Coast international signed a one-year contract with the club.
Celtic manager Rodgers worked with Toure at Liverpool, and he has suggested that he wants the 36-year-old centre-back to remain at Celtic Park for the 2017-18 campaign.
“Kolo and I will sit down and see what he’s thinking,” Rodgers told The Scottish Sun regarding a new contract for Toure.
“He’s still on the winning teams every day in training and looks after his body, as you saw with his chest on Sunday. He’s in good nick.
“It maybe took him a bit longer to warm up than he used to but you can’t underestimate his influence.
“He’s highly respected because of his achievements but also because he’s a great role model.”
“We’ll discuss the next phase of his career soon but I know he’s very keen on the coaching side,” added Rodgers. “He sits in on all our meetings and is gaining experience.
“In terms of all the planning we do he’s in on that and getting an idea how you plan and prepare your work. That’s invaluable for him and he’s been great for me.”
Toure is 36 years of age and is past his prime; the centre-back is also unable to play for the Celtic first team regularly.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City defender has featured in only 14 matches in all competitions so far this season.
However, Toure is a very experienced and mature player, and he would be able to provide leadership in big European matches.
