The England international could surely score 50 goals in a season with Celtic.

It has been an extremely positive season for Celtic under new manager Brendan Rodgers. One thing the Glasgow side have not been short of is goals.

Moussa Dembele has bagged 32 goals in all competitions this season, whilst Scott Sinclair has 25 of his own.

But Rodgers should not stop there. He should be bold and make a move for a former Liverpool player of his, who has the ability to score 50 goals in Scottish football.

That player is Daniel Sturridge.

He has been a bit-part player at Liverpool since his return from injury and the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as manager.

But his record for the club is still sensational, scoring 45 goals in 87 league games for Liverpool since he joined the club in 2013.

Celtic do not have the financial clout to sign Sturridge permanently. However, they have had the likes of Craig Bellamy and Robbie Keane on loan before and a similar deal for the out-of-favour Sturridge could do the 27-year-old wonders.

If he stayed fit and firing for an entire campaign there is no doubt he has the ability to score half a century of goals in a Celtic shirt.

This would be a dream deal for Celtic and potentially exactly what the England international needs to get his confidence back and his career back on track.
