Celtic ace Tom Rogic has seen his form dip below par this season.
Celtic picked up a goalless draw away to St Mirren on Friday night and were the better side despite losing Olivier Ntcham to a red card in the first-half.
But there were a few players within Brendan Rodgers’ side that were not quite at the races and they could end the weekend five points behind league leaders Hearts if they win against Motherwell.
Tom Rogic was one of the main culprits for the Bhoys of passing through the game without much influence, something that was happening before the international break far too often.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder can be a key player for the Scottish champions when he is on form and gets into dangerous positions around the 18-yard box.
He hasn’t quite found any consistency in his game this season and looked lacklustre in several matches.
The Australia international has two goals and no assists in 10 appearances this season, while his overall influence has been nowhere near the levels he can reach.
Rodgers does have plenty of attacking options within his squad he can call upon and he should consider axing Rogic in the next game to give him a wake-up call.
The left-footed playmaker needs to start grabbing games by the scruff of the neck and leaving him out of the starting XI for the Europa League clash with Rosenborg on Thursday would set him the challenge to improve.
