Kouassi Eboue has yet to make his Celtic debut following a January move to Glasgow.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told the club’s official Twitter account that new signing Kouassi Eboue will be in contention to play in a couple of weeks.
The Bhoys were fairly quiet during the January transfer window, bringing in just one new face as midfielder Eboue arrived from Russian outfit Eboue.
Formerly of Armenian side Shirak, Eboue scored once in 18 games for Krasnodar, and caught the eye of Bhoys manager Rodgers, who swooped to land Eboue last month.
The 19-year-old penned a deal with Celtic until 2021, with Rodgers seemingly viewing the Ivorian midfielder as one for the future having impressed with his athleticism in the Europa League this season.
Some fans may have hoped to see Eboue in action by now, but he is still waiting to make his debut for the club having encountered a number of problems.
Not only was Eboue waiting for a work permit to rubber-stamp his move, but he then contracted malaria, ruling him out of action (Daily Mail).
