Celtic are expected to be active in the January transfer window.

Brendan Rodgers has stated that he expects Celtic to do business in the January transfer window.

Celtic are unbeaten in domestic action this season, and they have already built up a 14 point lead over Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bhoys appear to be coasting towards their sixth successive league title, but Rodgers is determined not to allow his side to rest on their laurels.

Instead, the Northern Irish boss is eager to strengthen Celtic’s squad – with one eye on progressing in next year’s Champions League.

Rodgers insists that Celtic will be active in the January transfer window, but he has suggested that the Bhoys’ may business may not be concluded early on in the month.

Celtic have been rumoured to be interested in a range of players from England, with the likes of Robert Snodgrass and James McCarthy just two of the players to be linked with a move to Parkhead.

The Bhoys’ board are thought to be prepared to invest money into their squad, after earning a considerable amount for qualifying for the Champions League group stage.
