Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won against Old Firm rivals Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told BBC Sport that Scott Sinclair was incredible against Rangers away from home at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

The Hoops maintained their strong run of form in the Scottish Premiership with a 2-1 comeback victory over Old Firm rivals Rangers.

Kenny Miller put Mark Warburton’s side in the lead after just 12 minutes, but goals from Moussa Dembele and Sinclair saw the Bhoys stage a successful comeback.

Celtic boss Rodgers was impressed with the performance of Sinclair during the game. The 27-year-old former Chelsea and Manchester City winger started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.

“I thought Scott was incredible,” Rodgers told BBC Sport. “For any supporter to watch a player play to that level in such a high-profile game was great.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, hosts Rangers had 50% of the possession, took 10 shots of which six were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Celtic had 50% of the possession, took 23 shots of which 10 were on target, and earned 11 corners, according to BBC Sport.

Brendan Rodgers’s side are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 58 points from 20 matches, 19 points clear of Rangers, who have played a game more.
