Celtic defender Kieran Tierney is on the sidelines at the moment.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted on the club’s official Twitter page that he is devastated for Kieran Tierney.

Tierney has been ruled out of all action for two months with ankle ligament damage, as reported by BBC Sport.

The 19-year-old defender, who has been in brilliant form so far this season, picked up the injury during training.

Celtic boss Rodgers has admitted that he is disappointed with the injury suffered by the Scotland international left-back.

The former Liverpool and Swansea City manager has also stated that he expects Tierney to make a strong comeback.

Celtic continued their strong run of form in the Scottish Premiership with a narrow 1-0 victory over Aberdeen away from home on Saturday afternoon.
