Jose Mourinho was linked with the Celtic job this month.

Brendan Rodgers has told Premier Sport that Jose Mourinho to Celtic was never likely to happen.
Celtic hired Neil Lennon as Rodgers’s long-term replacement at Parkhead on Saturday, after the now-Leicester City manager quit back in February.
But prior to that, a raft of big names were linked with the post and none bigger than The Special One.
According to Di Marzio earlier this month, the Hoops offered the role to the available Portuguese manager, a two-time Champions League winner.
Mourinho, who was sacked by Manchester United last season, has been one of European football’s biggest managers for the past 15 years, and Rodgers claims that the salary demands made the prospect of him moving to Parkhead something of a pie in the sky.
He told Premier Sport: “I think again it’s where things get carried away a wee bit.
“With all due respect to Jose, I don’t think with the money he would demand as one of the leading managers in world football, he is going to get that at Celtic.”
Lennon oversaw a 2-1 Scottish Cup final over Hearts yesterday which convinced Celtic’s hierarchy to give him the permanent role. In doing so, the Northern Irishman, who was previously their manager for four years until 2014, completed the historic treble Treble, though the foundation for such a success was laid by Rodgers.
The big question is whether Lennon can build on that and only time will tell.
