Brendan Rodgers managed the Liverpool midfielder during his stint in charge at Anfield.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference yesterday, and praise Liverpool ace Jordan Henderson, labelling him as a ‘fantastic player’, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
The 28-year-old has often been maligned by Reds fans, but that does seem to be slightly harsh.
Henderson always gives 100 per cent for Liverpool, and he has proven this season just how effective he can be, especially when deployed in a more advanced role.
He remains an influential figure for Jurgen Klopp’s side, both on and off the pitch, and the work that he does for the Merseyside outfit often goes under-appreciated.
Rodgers managed the England international when he was in charge at Anfield, and he offered high words of praise for the Liverpool midfielder when speaking to reporters yesterday, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:

“We showed with young players that it is possible, and lot of those players, like Jordan Henderson, who is a fantastic player, he was a young player then, and those experiences he would have learned from.”
With Naby Keita now reportedly out for the rest of the season, Henderson will undoubtedly have a key role to play for Liverpool over the next few weeks, and if Klopp’s side are to achieve success, the Englishman will have to be on his very best form.
