Brendan Rodgers has stated that Tottenham have a ‘big talent’ in their ranks, as he told his Leicester City press conference.

The Leicester boss also added that the Tottenham striker is ‘world-class’ and he has been in the bracket ‘for a number of years’ now.

After a couple of postponements due to a COVID outbreak, Spurs will return to action on Thursday evening when they face-off against the Foxes.

When Antonio Conte’s side take to the field tomorrow, it would have been 11 days since they were last in competitive action when they beat Norwich City 3-0 on home soil.

So, they will no doubt still be rusty and the Foxes will want to capitalise on that following their thumping 4-0 win against Newcastle last time out.

Nonetheless, this is what Rodgers had to say about Kane ahead of their showdown with Spurs.

“For me, he’s a world-class player and he has been for a number of years,” said Rodgers.

“He will go into every game believing he can score. He’s a big talent and has been a big catalyst for them over recent years.”

This time last season, Kane was where Mo Salah is right now and that’s sitting top of the goalscoring and assists charts in the Premier League.

Fast forward to today and even Manchester United midfielder Fred has bagged more Premier League goals than him.

But with Leicester possibly playing without any senior centre-backs tomorrow, then this isn’t going to be a better chance for Kane to run riot in front of goal.

He has had success at the King Power Stadium before, including netting four goals in one game during his side’s 6-1 win against the Foxes in 2017.
