Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has been out injured for much of 2018.

Boyata has been out for much of 2018 so far with a groin problem, but he is edging closer to full fitness.
The Belgian defender is set to make his return to training soon, and Rodgers is looking forward to having Boyata fit and available again.
“Dedryck will probably be back after the weekend. So that will be great news,” Rodgers said.

“It will be great to have him back. He’s been top class so it would be great if he’s back for the Rangers game.
“He’s looking good doing his on field work.”
Boyata could now be back in time for Celtic’s upcoming clash with Rangers, which will give the Bhoys boss a selection dilemma.

In Boyata’s absence, Kristoffer Ajer has really stepped up and impressed in the defence.
The Norwegian may still be young, but he has looked at home alongside Jozo Simunovic.
Celtic are also set to welcome January signing Marvin Compper back to fitness soon, which gives Rodgers plenty of options to pick from at the back.
Celtic were due to be in action against Dundee this evening, but that game has been postponed.
