Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard had to be stretchered off in his side’s last match.

Edouard was stretchered off during Celtic’s match against St. Johnstone, after kicking Joe Shaughnessy’s studs, when trying to volley the ball towards goal.
But Rodgers is hoping that the injury problem is not a serious one, and that Edouard will be back available for Celtic soon.
“Odsonne’s had an impact on the front of his foot,” Rodgers said. “Shaughnessy’s stretching and his foot catches Odsonne as he’s gone to hit it. It’s accidental.
“These modern boots now are not so tough. It’s just caught him right on the front of his foot so he’s in a wee bit of pain. Hopefully he’ll be okay.”

Edouard’s absence could be a blow for Celtic, if he is ruled out for the long-term.
However, the addition of Timothy Weah in the January transfer window is looking like an inspired piece of business.
Weah only joined Celtic last month, but he has taken no time to make an impression, and could start with Edouard out.
Weah scored Celtic’s second goal of the match yesterday, to seal the three points for them against St. Johnstone.
