Celtic midfielder Scott Brown is set to undergo scans on an injury.

It is not yet clear just how long Brown will be out with injury, but it seems that the midfielder could be due to spend some time on the sidelines.
And Rodgers admits that he is now facing an anxious wait on finding how severe Brown’s injury is.
“We’re just awaiting the scan results from today,” Rodgers said.
“There’s a problem just below his knee at the top of his calf. We just have to wait and see on that.
“It had nothing to do with his age, it was an injury that was very sore and painful for him and even then at the time he didn’t want to come off. You could see at the time he was struggling with mobility and ability.
“It was a real sore one for him but like I say, we’ll just have to wait for the scan to come through.”

If Brown is out for a period of time it is sure to be a blow to Celtic’s chances.
The Scot is so central to their pressing game, with Rodgers always putting a lot of responsibility on his captain’s shoulders.
Celtic face a tricky test next up when they take on Red Bull Leipzig in the Europa League.
The Bhoys have had mixed results in Europe so far this term, and will be challenged if they are to pick up a positive result in Germany.
