Youssouf Mulumbu was in action for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic against RB Salzburg in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Scottish Premiership side suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Salzburg in Europa League Group B on Thursday evening.
The Hoops took the lead through Odsonne Edouard in the second minute, but the home team scored thrice in the second half to pick up all three points from the encounter.
Celtic also ended the match with 10 men due to the sending-off of James Forrest in the 72nd minute.
Celtic manager Rodgers was impressed with the performance of 31-year-old DR Congo international midfielder Mulumbu, who played in the place of the injured Scott Brown – who has been on the books of the Bhoys since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.
Rodgers told The Scottish Sun: “When Scott doesn’t play then of course it always takes away from the team.
“But give credit to Mulumbu, I thought he did very well. He came in and worked hard. I thought he was excellent.”

Good performance
Mulumbu played well for Celtic, and the former Kilmarnock midfielder is doing well for the Hoops at the moment.
The former West Bromwich Albion ace joined the Hoops in the summer transfer window on a free.
