Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won against Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.

Rodgers was impressed with the leadership shown by Scotland international midfielder Brown during Celtic’s 2-0 victory over Aberdeen away from home in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.
The Hoops ended the game with 10 men due to the sending-off of Mikael Lustig in the 76th minute.

Rodgers told Celtic’s official website: “We coped with that really well and showed real resilience and mentality to manage the game when we went down to 10 men.
“We have a plan when we go down to 10 men. We’ve been in that position before away to Hamilton.
“The players understand the shape of the team when we go down to 10 so they have good calmness and good control in that situation.
“Brown’s a big game player, especially in those moments. He revels in it even more. Like he is in the big games, he’s an absolutely brilliant leader.”

Top leader
Brown is one of the best players in Scotland and is a key figure in the current Celtic squad.
The 32-year-old midfielder was superb for Celtic against Aberdeen and marshalled the defence well.
The Hoops are nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment and are favourites to win the league title yet again this season.
Brown has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.
