Celtic are unbeaten in Brendan Rodgers first two friendlies in charge.
Brendan Rodgers has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he has been impressed by Celtic’s central-defenders during his time in charge so far.
Rodgers has been in charge at Parkhead for over two weeks now, and the Bhoys are currently on tour of Slovenia.
Celtic have already played two friendlies, and they have remained unbeaten to date.
The Bhoys first drew 2-2 with NK Celje, before they beat Sturm Graz 1-0 yesterday evening.
And Rodgers said: “We talk about the aggression in our defending and I was pleased with our corners tonight.
“We talked about having that bit of steel when we’re under pressure from a set piece.
“We defended that well, had good organisation. And, all round, our central defenders are coping well.”
Celtic have had to play their youngsters in a central-defence during the tour so far, with many of their more experienced players in the position unavailable.
Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic are both out injured currently, while Efe Ambrose has not traveled with the squad due to visa issues.
Despite Rodgers’ words about Celtic’s defenders, the Bhoys are looking to add a centre-back in the summer transfer window.
Celtic have been linked with a host of players already, but the only transfer they have completed so far is for striker Moussa Dembele from Fulham.
