Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has explained to the Daily Mail what the club’s supporters will have learned from the loss to Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Hoops entertained the Bundesliga side in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
They headed into the game in confident mood after the impressive 3-3 draw with Manchester City last time around.
It proved to be an unhappy evening for them though as goals from Lars Stindl and Andre Hahn saw the away side to a 2-0 victory.

It was a disappointing evening all round for the Scottish champions, who were outplayed by their Group C rivals for much of the game.
The positives were few and far between but Rodgers says there was one positive for the fans to take away.
“What the supporters can take from this game is that the players gave absolutely everything, as did they,” he told the Daily Mail.
‘The only disappointment is we couldn’t get the result they deserve for their support, but we have a chance at the weekend to win the next game and get to a domestic final.”

The result now leaves Celtic’s European hopes hanging in the balance, with them sitting on just one point from their first three games.
That sees them sitting two points behind Borussia Monchengladbach already and they will need to beat the Germans away if they are to have any chance of finishing third.
With that in mind, it may be best for them to focus on domestic football, starting with their Scottish League Cup clash against rivals Rangers this weekend.
