Kieran Tierney has played an important role for Celtic, ever since Brendan Rodgers took charge.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told the Daily Express that he loves Kieran Tierney’s passion for the Glasgow club.
Tierney has been brought through Celtic’s youth academy, and now plays an important role in Rodgers’ first-team.
The left-back is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in Scotland, and Rodgers admits that he loves the 19-year-old’s attitude.
“For someone just turned 19 years, you have a real special talent in Scotland,” Rodgers said.
“What I love about Kieran is that every pass he makes for us is for Celtic. Every header he makes is for Celtic, every tackle.
“He absolutely loves the club and it’s great to see. I think he would be in the stand if he wasn’t playing.
“He is living the dream, a kid who has come through the system and gets a chance.”
Tierney broke into Celtic’s team under Ronny Deila, and he has gone from strength to strength.
The youngster has coped with every challenge thrown at him, and Rodgers has consistently talked up the full-back’s talent whenever he has been given the opportunity.
Tierney has already been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, but he is under a long-term contract with Celtic.
Tierney is currently in the Scotland squad, which are due to face Lithuania in World Cup qualifying at the weekend.
