It’s time for Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers to give Calvin Miller another opportunity.
Celtic Manager Brendan Rodgers
Celtic’s Calvin Miller scored a brace last night for the under-20s to offer a timely reminder of his talents.
The 19-year-old winger made his Celtic’s first team earlier in the season, but was played out of position at left-back.
Miller was answering a call, to fill a need amid a selection dilemma, and acquitted himself well in the 1-0 win over Partick Thistle.
He drew praise from manager Brendan Rodgers after the game, but has not appeared since.
Now could be the perfect time to put him back in, and give him a shot in his preferred position.

While Miller should be grateful to Rodgers for handing him a chance, the manager also owes the teenager the opportunity to play on the wing, where he can really aim to impress.
The teenager is a Scotland youth international, who has featured for Celtic in the UEFA Youth League this season too, getting on the scoresheet.
He is able to play up front as a striker and has done this season, which made his first team bow at left-back all the more surprising.
Celtic have wrapped up the league title already, and now is an opportune time for Rodgers to start blooding the next generation.
