Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won against Old Firm rivals Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told BBC Sport that he is disappointed that his side could not score more than two goals against Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

The Bhoys got the better of Old Firm rivals Rangers 2-1 away from home at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.

Kenny Miller put Mark Warburton’s side in the lead after just 12 minutes, but goals from Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair saw the Hoops stage a successful comeback.

Celtic deserved to win the match, but manager Rodgers has stated that he is disappointed that his side could not score more than two goals.

“We needed to adjust one or two things at half-time, but second half we were brilliant,” Rodgers told BBC Sport. “We were a threat every time we went forward. We’re disappointed only to have had two goals.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, hosts Rangers had 50% of the possession, took 10 shots of which six were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Celtic had 50% of the possession, took 23 shots of which 10 were on target, and earned 11 corners, according to BBC Sport.

The Hoops are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 58 points from 20 matches, 19 points clear of second-placed Rangers with a game in hand.
