Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers suggests that he is looking to sign a winger who can play as a striker in the summer transfer window.
The Scottish Premiership giants are looking short on the attacking department at the moment despite having two of the best strikers in the league on their books.
Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths are the two main strikers in Brendan Rodgers’s side, and both are very good.
However, French striker Dembele could be out until early September, as Celtic boss Rodgers has told BBC Sport, while Griffiths was suspended for the Hoops’ Champions League third qualifying round first-leg tie against Rosenborg on Wednesday evening.
This means that there is need for Celtic to sign a striker in the short term, but it is not going to be easy for the Hoops to find a suitable candidate.
After all, how many strikers would join the Bhoys knowing that after the opening few weeks of the season they would become the third-choice player for that position.

“We’ll maybe look at a winger who can also play as a striker,” Rodgers told The Scottish Sun on the possibility of a move for a new frontman.
