Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has seemingly brushed aside rumours linking his side with Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dominic Iorfa in the Scotsman.

Wolves are thought to want to sell Iorfa, who has barely featured under Nuno, and Celtic had been touted as a potential destination.

However, Rodgers came back with a very to-the-point response when asked whether Celtic had any interest in the full-back.

‘[He’s] not one that I’m aware of,” Rodgers said.

Iorfa could have fitted the mould for what Rodgers wants at Celtic, as the Bhoys chase a full-back.

However, the Wolves man is seemingly not on their radar at this time, as they search for other options.

Celtic are thought to be determined to upgrade their defensive options, with their January recruits so far all being attackers.

Celtic have brought in Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah, while Vakoun Issouf Bayo’s move is expected to go through very soon.

Rodgers’ side are next in action tomorrow, when they take on St. Mirren in Scottish Premiership action.
