Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to reported Newcastle United target Brendan Rodgers saying that he will not leave Leicester City.
What’s the story?
Leicester manager Rodgers has been linked with the Newcastle managerial job.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) have bought Newcastle from Mike Ashley.
There is speculation that Amanda Staveley and co. want to bring Rodgers to St. James’ Park as a replacement for Steve Bruce.
Sky Italia reported on Wednesday that Rodgers is in pole position for the Newcastle job.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.
The Daily Mail have also reported interest in Rodgers from Newcastle.

Gary Lineker’s reaction
As you can see from the Sky Sports clip below, Leicester boss Rodgers has said that he does not plan to leave.
Former Leicester striker Lineker has reacted to the comments, and it is clear that the BBC Match of the Day presenter is delighted.
Blow for Newcastle
While Leicester fans will welcome the news that Rodgers – who earns £10 million per year (£192,307 per week) as salary, according to talkSPORT – is staying, it will come as a disappointment for Newcastle supporters.
We know that (most) Newcastle fans would like to see the back of Bruce.
Rodgers would be a great replacement given the work he has done at Liverpool, Celtic and now Leicester.
