Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won against Motherwell at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Celtic maintained their strong run of form on Saturday afternoon. The Bhoys got the better of Motherwell 2-0 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
Brendan Rodgers’s side headed into the match on the back of a 6-0 victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
The Hoops took the lead against Motherwell after 34 minutes when Moussa Dembele found the net from the penalty spot.
James Forrest, who is 25 years of age and operates as a winger, doubled the advantage for the home team four minutes from the half-time interval.
Celtic manager Rodgers has praised the performance of Forrest against Motherwell on Saturday.
“James Forrest was the man of the match today,” Rodgers told BBC Radio Scotland. “He was outstanding.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Celtic had 63% of the possession, took 15 shots of which five were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Motherwell had 37% of the possession, took six shots of which one was on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
